How to apply a striped texture to a tube DC (probllem)

Hey there! its been a while, im encountering this issue, kinda basic but i cant figure it ouy, im trying to apply a striped texture to a tube that is a Dynamic component, the thing is that i apply the jpd texture but on the “union” or the “seem” it come like this:

and i need this to look like a candy cane xD if you know what i mean, continously

on the other hand it must also be able to adapt to other lenghts, as its a real tube with that texture,i mean, NOT like this:

I downloaded this model from 3D Warehouse and applied a texture that I created in Affinity Designer.

On this occasion I searched on Google how to apply a material to a DC and I tested it. Most likely @pcmoor will help you with DC settings.

to set the join unlock the scale chain, match then lock. Unlike the plane the pattern will scale despite any scale definition. So consider copies of pipe to match a given length. Please post pole and required DC changes

here it is

After healing the horizontal using the scale chain

ratio 88 to 80 seems okay

I decided on a segment size of 250 mm. I moved the circle end 750mm
made it a group then copied it to check the lineament. moved the end 5mm then scaled back to 250 to match

So got a copy concept for every 250mm, about the intermediate values? well checked the remainder and if greater than 125mm allowed a extra copy, the segment length based on the overall length divided by (copies plus 1) so over long lengths impossible to see any difference, the file contains 2m, 2.1, 2.2, 2.25m can you spot the differences in scale?

I hide the end outlines and added a copy to your position groups.

If it was built as solids, the end product could have its contents outer-shelled or union, to form a whole: reinstated if required with swap with the DC definition.

When the awards from this forum become available, (if they don’t already exist), you would deserve them all. Thank you very much, you are a genius.
