I need to apply an image onto a curved surface and the Youtube videos aren’t doing the trick.
Please take a look at this skp. The image is SEARFARI WHALE SUB logo. The surface is the left side of that grey hull.
I exploded the image but I cannot figure out how to project it in the correct place.
Can someone please help?

One thing complicating your model is the fact that you have one material/color on the underlying surface … and the logo image your are applying is a .PNG image with a transparent background.
Thus, if the logo image with the transparent background is applied to the appropriate rectangle on the curved surface … the “surface” around the logo will be transparent … which is a bit problematic.
At least two ways to resolve this.
Edit the logo image so that the background is the correct color … same as the color being applied to the rest of the surface. This NOT what I did in the example.
Apply the logo image (with the transparent image) to an appropriate rectangle “above” the rest of the surface … in this case < 1 mm.
I can imagine drawbacks to each scheme … so the “best” scheme will depend upon how you plan to use the SketchUp model.
