Tried to follow the consensus instructions from various sources online. The result that the projected image repeats itself onto every polygon face in the curved wall I’ve created.
Be kind…I’m obviously not a seasoned pro!
Thanks,
Robert
Upload your .SKP file so we can open it and see how your geometry is constructed. DO you want to “project” the image which will distort it slightly over the curved surface (like a projector)? Or to apply the image to the surface un distorted, following the curved surface?
Right click on the image. Select Texture/Projected. Apply again.
This should be a simple procedure. As @endlessfix asked, upload your file so we can see your exact setup.
Here I sampled the image and applied it to the surface. The texture is NOT projected in this case.
As mentioned, projecting it will distort the texture. I doubt you’d want that.
Thanks for your reply. I’ve just had no luck following directions. My .skp file: is too big to attach (26.7 MB). Any other way I can send it to you giuys?
Robert
We need to examine your file. Upload it in a response on this thread by posting it to Dropbox or another file sharing service. Then post the link here. Don’t forget to make it public
