How can I make this shape look rounder?

#1

Hi everybody.

I’m trying to make this shape a little bit more smooth, something like round corner extension does, but I get and error.

Someone knows how can I fix it?

This is the file if it’s needed.

Thanks in advance.

Try using the SUbD plugin to smooth the edges instead.
SUbD in Extension Warehouse.

Thank you @jvleearchitects
I’ve just try it, but I don’t get the result I’m looking for.
I think I would prefer the result that round corner produces if it were possible to make it work.

EDIT: in fact, I’ve realized soften edges make it look like more like what I’m looking for.

I’m glad it worked for you.

Note that softening edges does not change the actual geometry (shape) of the object, it simply causes SketchUp to not draw the edge as a visual line. If you were to 3D-print the object, for example, any softened (hidden) or smoothed (blended-shading) edges will reveal their true sharp nature.

Thank you @TDahl, anyway I wasn’t able to get the result I was looking for.

My intention was trying to draw something like the body of that character, but I’m not able so far.
