how can i download my customised model from sketchup? So that others can see it without having to download sketch up? or is there something for that?
SketchUp Viewer: SketchUp Viewer | SketchUp
SketchUp models can’t really be downloaded and viewed in anything but SketchUp / SketchUp Viewer. You can either share the .skp (model file) directly or share a link through Trimble Connect.
But honestly, I don’t know ANYTHING about what SketchUp for Schools can and can’t do.
Are you using SketchUp for Schools as your profile says? Or do you have a subscription to SketchUp Pro or SketchUp Studio? SketchUp for Schools is a web-based version for shool children. With that version the easiest thing would probably be to download images of the model to send to others. With SketchUp Pro or Studio you can upload your model to your Trimble Connect storage and send a link to others as @cdorroh indicates which would allow them to view the model.
Aha, I bought a student license because I’m still going to school. I thought maybe there is a way to download the house so that the teachers can see it without having to download extra software and then they can look around the house. But if that’s not possible, I’ll stick with pictures.
This is my house that I made:
So then that’s NOT SketchUp for Schools. It’s basically SketchUp Studio. Please correct your forum profile as that has a lot to do with what we can offer to help you when you need it.
The method of uploading the file to Trimble Connect and sharing the link doesn’t require your teachers to download any software or even your model file. The viewer is online.
Ok, thanks, I’ll try it out
This is from the SketchUp website:
And again, please correct your forum profile so we don’t have to ask every time you have a question.
