Hi guys,
I am having a problem with my hotkeys, don’t know if it is me or there are more people, everyday i have to reset my hotkeys. Is there a way to keep them?
I am using the latest version of sketchup and have a mac.
Assuming that by “hot keys” you mean shortcuts assigned in SketchUp->Preferences->Shortcuts, they should be retained automatically; you should not have to reset them each time. So there is something peculiar about your installation.
Did you install SketchUp correctly by opening the installer .dmg, dragging the SketchUp icon onto the Applications folder icon in the installer’s window, and then ejecting the .dmg? If you didn’t and are running directly from the .dmg, that is likely the cause of your problem.
Please update the info in your profile - it says you are using SU 2016, not the latest version (2018). It is also helpful if you can list the version of mac OS that you are running - occasionally that has an impact. You can edit your profile by clicking the little round icon at the upper right of the screen, clicking the gear icon at the upper right of the list that pops up, and then choosing the Profile item from the list at the left. Be sure to click the save button at the bottom when you are finished.
Thanks for the quick response, I turned sketchup on and off and this time it didnt made me redo the shortcuts. Maybe it just glitched the first time. I am currently using the trail version, therefore i haven’t updated my account preferences.
