Help with 3D export to Solidworks

OK I have looked and really tries every revision I have found, so far about 7 different ways.
I now have Sketchup Make 2017 I had PRO a few years ago but it was no longer needed as through work I have the full Solidworks suite. But I have found myself in a need for an older Sketchup rendering I did years ago. I have downloaded the free Make version and I cannot export in anything other than SKP. It simply will not allow it even if I download an extension. I keep getting a pop up window that tells me to get PRO.

I only have 2 files I need to convert to IGES, DXF, DWG, STEP, STL or something compatible with Solidworks. This is driving me nuts. I have been working on this for about a week off and on.

Does anyone have a method that works with the later versions or can I email someone my files to get them converted?

Any help is most appreciated.

Open it in the web version and download an .stl from there.

I will give it a try.

Thank you

There also is the SketchUp team’s STL exporter:

https://extensions.sketchup.com/extension/412723d4-1f7a-4a5f-b866-281a3e223337/sketch-up-stl

I downloaded it and installed it and that also tells me to get PRO. Tonight I am trying the STL I downloaded from the WEB version.

Thank you

I think you need to elaborate on this get pro comment you keep talking about.
What are you actually seeing, show us the messages.

I just install 2017 Make and the Exporter that Colin linked and I have no issues using either.
I’m not logged in or signed in or have installed a license, pure free unadulterated Make 2017 working independently without issue.

The 2017 Make welcome screen has promotions for SketchUp 2020 Pro, you can ignore those.

The Export STL feature appears in the File menu, not in Extensions.
