I’ve cleaned my file with the clean plugin, but it still doesn’t work, i’ve removed almost all imported 3d materials and objects, what else can i do to make it work? thank you!

What version of Vray are you using?
When SketchUp crashes do you get Bug Splats? Are you sending them in with information that identifies they came from you?
Have you contacted the Vray support people?

yes i do get bugsplats and i’ve been sending them in
i haven’t tried contacting vray yet, i was hoping this could be fixed quickly
Well, I did my usual cleanup procedure of fixing incorrect tag usage, purging unused, and reducing the size of some excessively large texture image. Then I set up a scene using just the sun for light and made a quick render in Vray. No problems for me.
See if this file behaves better. Note that you have some exposed back faces which will likely cause you problems in Vray. There should be no exposed back faces in your model.
RESOURCE CENTER purged.skp (3.4 MB)
Note the dramatic reduction in file size due to the cleanup.
unfortunately, it’s still crashing… still thank you for the help, i really appreciate it!
Go to the nVidia site and get the latest graphics drivers for your graphics card to install. Then do a cold reboot of your computer.
Did you install SketchUp and Vray correctly. In both cases that requires right clicking on the downloaded installer and selecting Run as administrator. If you didn’t do that before, do it now and use the Repair option when it is presented. Do SketchUp first, reboot your computer, and then do Vray and reboot again. See if any of that makes it behave better.
Another thing to try is to make a simple test model. Draw a cube and try rendering that.
i tried rendering my other projects and vray works perfectly fine, i don’t know what happened with my current project…
thank you!
Maybe @colin would have a chance to look at the Bug Splat reports and see if they identify anything. Technically he wouldn’t be working until Monday at the earliest but he sometimes looks in on the wekends. In the meantime try the things I suggested. Also put in a help request with the Chaos Group’s support.
okay thank you so much!
I checked your crashes, and they are related to changing scenes. You are using SketchUp 2023.1, and in the 2023.1.3 update there was a fix to do with a crash that happened when changing scenes. It is worth you trying either 2023.1.3, or even 2024.0.2. Both can be downloaded from tis page:
