As of this morning, SketchUp has been slow to load or stopping all together (not responding)
Also, some file paths cannot be found although I can insert them. Before today, I had no problem with this with file paths.
And when in LayOut, simple things, like lines representing tiles on a wall, will only appear with Raster. I usually use Hybrid because sometimes I have various textures in a model. Before today, this has not been an issue.
All these issues popped up today. Something has gone awry, I just don’t know how or where.
I’ve rebooted and signed out and back into SketchUp.
Graphics driver is adequate, and I have had no problem with any of these issues until today.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
This is in SketchUp 2020 as indicated in your profile? If so, that version of SketchUp hasn’t changed in more than a year so what did change? A windows update?
How did you determine that? Did you check with the Intel directly or just check to see what Windows tells you? It’s not unusual for automatic Windows updates to include broken graphics drivers.
First thing I would do is go to the Intel site and get their latest graphics drivers and install them. Do a cold reboot of the computer and see what you get.
Maybe your SketchUp model needs some cleanup. Can you share that?
This is the model I’ve been working on. Minimal and stark. Color/texture-wise, it’s dull compared to what I usually work on. I’ll look into the broken graphics card. have feeling you are correct.
Not sure my model will load either. First time I’ve tried to upload something to a Sketchup Community thread as before publishing, all I’m seeing on my end is a line of text where my model should be.
How big is the SketchUp file? If it’s too large to upload directly, upload it to Drop Box and share the link.
Did you try getting the latest graphics drivers from Intel to install?
Another thing you could try is to repair the installation of SketchUp. Get the last installer from Download All | SketchUp and once you have it, right click on it, choose Run as administrator and if prompted, choose the repair option.
