Help! paint bucket doesn't work

I have tried many things, but I can’t even select the area. I can use material on other areas next to it. I have no idea, why does not working. By view → face style → shaded with textures is selected.
I have Windows 10 and SketchUp Make 2017.
Thank you for any help!
Esther

When you installed SU2017, did you right click on the installer and use Run as Administrator? There have been other reports of this issue with the Paint Bucket and the resolution has been to re-install SketchUp correctly using Run as Administrator. Do that now and choose the Repair option when it pops up.

I just tried it - it is still not working :frowning:
But thank you!

How about uploading the SKP file so we can see it. Perhaps there just isn’t a face to paint?

nana.pdf (262.6 KB)

It’s the floor

I can’t tell anything from the PDF. Upload the SKP file. Or, if it’s too large, upload it to the 3D Warehouse and share the link.

Downloading now.

As I suggested. There’s no face to paint.

The Paint Bucket will only apply materials to faces, not empty space.

thank you for your help!

You’re welcome. By the way, probably the quickest way to fix that is to draw a large rectangle and use Intersect Faces to intersect it with the existing floor. And you should correct the face orientation so the white faces are up. There are reversed faces in a number of your components, too.

Out of curiosity, what is this? Is it your house?

Thanks, now it’s working - but I can apply material only the way that than everything has the same material. How can I change that?
No, it is my final work for decorator exam, I’m just new in SketchUp

Select all of the floor, right click on it and choose Intersect Faces>With Selection. You should then be able to apply different materials in different regions.

You’ll want your waterwings when you are cooking in the kitchen, though.

I have only intersect faces → with model…

Triple click on the floor to select all of it. Right click and you should have Intersect Faces>With Selection.
