Help needed : Model disappeared

I was just finishing to do a project due for Thursday when suddenly my entire project disappeared. I cannot zoom in, or move my mouse anymore but CTRL-A shows I still have my 150 entities.
I have tried to copy things over to a new file and the problem remains.

Here is the file which i uploaded : Dropbox

Open a second SketchUp session and then select objects in Outliner in the problem model and hit Ctrl+C to copy them. In the new session use Edit>Paste in place to paste them. Copy and paste a few at a time, rinse and repeat. Hit Zoom Extents after pasting in place. If the model suddenly disappears, it’s likely that something is placed at a huge distance from the rest of the model. Immediately hit Edit>Undo and then press Zoom Extents again to show the model. At that point you can figure out which of the objects is the problem and avoid it. Might be that deleting it from the original model and hitting Zoom Extents there will make the rest of the model appear.

BTW, once you get your model sorted you should fix incorrect tag usage.

Something is definitely balled up in your model. Most of the component thumbnails show as blanks .

After copying and pasting a bunch of your model the thumbnails look like this.

If you know the name of the mirror you downloaded, that would be the first thing I would look for in Outliner and delete it.

Do what @Box suggested first. I can’t find anything identifiable as the mirror but I have no idea what the name is, either.

or do you still have the link you downloaded from?

This is a good example of why we always say Best practice is to download things from the warehouse to a separate model space to check them and clean them before adding to your actual model.

I have copy and pasted everything over from my old project backup ( that’s also blank ) to a new file, and theres also somehow, no mirror. I have no clue anymore

Do you see the rest of the model, though?

No. It’s just I thought it must’ve been the mirror causing the issue, but there’s no mirror in my backup and it still doesnt show anything.

You arent supposed to copy/paste them all at one time. You should only do 1/a few - until the model brakes then undo the last batch so you can pin down the broken portions.

It looks like you have made a copy within itself.

I’ve individually copied every single one of my models in outiner over to a new blank file. and they’re all there and working.

I am currently attempting to send over the backup file without the copies and less manipulations for you guys to try and help me. Does dropbox work in links here?

Dropbox Here you go

This post got flagged up top. Did it tell you why?

Spam apparently :frowning:

did it tell you how to get that removed as a valid post?

Apparently its just overly promotional and not helpful to the subject so idk

well get it put back into the normal list so you can get your problem sorted.
