Help - corrupted file solution?

Hi everyone.

I have a problem with my sketchup files. They were last saved yesterday, but now wont open anymore due to an error ‘failed to open document’. The SKB of this file is missing as well, so I’m guessing it has something to do with that. I fixed it for the other file by trying the skp to skb trick, but yeah, cant do that for the other file with only the skp file… Any ideas? Important to mention I work on a shared drive at work. Any help appreciated!

Most users who report this sort of thing have also been working on files saved externally. Best practice is to save the file to your internal drive while working on it and upload back to the network drive when you’re finished with it for the day.

You can share the .skp file in hopes somone can recover something but if the .skb file couldn’t be written, it doesn’t bode well.
