I am using a model made in a much earlier Sketchup version from a central library of 3d models. Every corner has a heavy highlight which dominates as the view point gets further away. I cant seem to remove them.
It sounds like the style used on the old model has endpoints and/or extensions turned on. To get rid of them in SketchUp Free choose a different Style in the Styles panel.
@rbirchmore, (…in the Styles panel) or in the ‘Search SketchUp’ (= [Shift+/ ) field search for ‘View Endpoints’ to turn them off. There you can also create a shortcut key to toggle them on/off.
That did it ! thanks
Thanks. I saw the following message first which fixed it for me.
