Has development stopped in 2026 for Sketchup Go?

I downgraded to SketchUp Go a few years ago and still get charged yearly for it.

The Web version is unusable on a Mac. Tried using it in Safari and Firefox. Dimensioning does not work, and you cannot type to resize the dimensions of a newly created object.

I was planning to move my work to the iPad, but I noticed that the YouTube instructional videos for iPad were last updated 3 years ago.

Would someone please update me on the status of these applications? Thank you.

Please correct your forum profile.

What do you mean by this exactly?

I expect you are clicking in the Measurements window which would be incorrect procedure. If you are drawing a rectangle click and release to set the first corner, move the cursor in the general direction of the diagonally opposed corner. Click and release. Then just type the dimensions making sure to use the correct divider character (comma or semi colon) depending on your localization and press Return.

SketchUp for iPad is similar.

And to answer the question in your title, No! Development of SketchUp for Web has not stopped.

Thanks Dave, Been too long between projects. I have updated my profile.

Dimensions work differently in IOS? I guess my SU Pro techniques are coming back to haunt. I click on end points and attempt to drag out a dimension with the dimension tool, nothing happens.

Thanks for be reminder on sizing. Looks like I need to go through the SketchUp for iPad Square One series again.

From what you described I think you do need to go through the tutorials.

The Dimension tool has never been used for changing the dimensions of the geometry.

Hey Dave,
Two separate issues, sorry if that wasn’t clear. I ment putting dimensions on an existing object.

You can’t select an object and just type in new dimensions but that’s the way SketchUp has worked for more than 25 years.

Dave, I’m aware of that. I’m talking adding regular dimensions not resizing. Does not work for me in ShetchUp for web.

Then you are doing something incorrectly.

That looks like a graphics issue related to the browser. Try using Chrome.

Working for now in Chrome. Thanks Dave

Very interesting issue, would love to know the browser and what version it is? After that I can work with the QA team to see if we can repro, if the browser is a supported version we will see what we can do to fix!

Hello Zachary,

Dimensioning now works in the latest version of Firefox, but still fails in Safari.

Update: Dimensioning in Safari works, but you must place the dimensioning tool below the corner to establish a starting reference.

The location of the line endpoint seems to be offset when using the dimension tool.

@marwanobeidat can tell the web app team.
