Guides disappearing when using tape measure!

Hello, I am currently using Sketchup Pro 2024, and when I am trying to use the tape measure, the guides disappear when I do my second click. So I click the starting point, and when I click the finish point, it disappears. I have also tried just entering the distance and pressing enter, but the same thing happens.

I have also checked to make sure “guides” is ticked and it is. I have tried unticking and re ticking, and completely closing and re opening Sketchup, and started a new file. Still nothing.

Please help, I need this for my assessment. ;(

Try this:
Go to menu Window>>Preferences>>Graphics tab
and select “Use classic graphic engine”
Restart Sketchup

If your profile is correct and you have Intel Iris Pro graphics on a Mac machine, then the new graphics engine for SketchUp is not supported.

As @dezmo shows you’ll need to manually switch back to the Classic OpenGL engine.

P.S. - “2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5” is not an Operating System.
It is expected to enter “Win 10”, “Windows 11”, “MacOS Sonoma”, etc.
