My Guideline are invisible

Hey there!
We have a project at school that I wanted to try to start working on but I came across some bug or I don’t know.

When I use the Tape measuring tool and try to draw a Guideline it disappeares. It’s there, I can snap items to it but I can’t see it where it is and it’s annoying.

I tried to look to view panel but there was nothing there, I looked for some advice here on forums but those problems were happening in older versions. I’ve tried to restart the programme and the notebook, reinstal SketchUp and I’m still hopeless.

Can somone please help me?

PS: Sorry I’m not a native English speaker.

Also I work on Macbook Pro

Go into Settings>Graphics under the SketchUp menu to the left of File. Switch to the Classic graphics engine. The restart SketchUp.

If you have some geometry on the ground, do the guides then stay?

Oh my god! Thank you so much! It worked! I’m gonna kiss your boots for the rest of my life!!! Thank you!

You’re welcome.

I guess I need to get some waterproof boots.

FWIW the graphics card you indicate in your forum profile doesn’t support the new graphics engine.

OMG OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH ! IT’S a big probleme for those you have mac !!

Yes. For those who have older GPUs that don’t support the new graphics engine it is a problem.

BTW, please correct your forum profile. The graphics card is not “100”.

old macs. old macs that weren’t very powerful to begin with

anything with a M-something processor is fine. so are most older machines with a discrete (AMD) graphics card.
but the older machines with intel iris graphics cards have to use the classic engine.
