Tape Measure guide lines

I have looked through past posts in the community, and cant find an answer to this.
I have already checked that i am not resting on Option )( i am using a Mac) and that Guides are ticked, so that’s not the issue.
The guide line will draw, but when i hit Enter or click as an endpoint, the guide line disappears

sorry to have to ask but i cant find the Graphics Sections. Is it in Systems Settings? I just looked up how to switch graphics card on a Mac, and says you cant do it manually

It is in Sketchup.
The Preferences window is where you will find all the customization options to fine tune your SketchUp experience. You’ll find these options by clicking
Preferences from the Window menu on Windows
or Settings from the SketchUp menu on MacOS.

really helpful, thanks found it straight away, made the change, now going to quit SketchUp, and see how i go…

FYI, your Intel Iris Plus graphics subsystem is most likely not supported to use SketchUp’s new graphics pipeline direct to Metal. Sorry.

hey Dezmo, thanks, that didnt work at all initially, i quit 3 times, and changed to Classic . 4th time seems to be working, and guide line showing and now staying and responding to measurements. Not sure why repetition of the same actions made a difference?
Hence am not convinced it will remain - another user has noted also noted to the incompatibility of MacOS Sequoia - as per the Sketch Up note! Wish i had known this before… am wondering how many others out there are also having these experiences in Sketch Up and using Sequoia in Mac, have seen a couple of references to it when am searching. It would be good to link up, as am imagining we are just having to find work arounds in the meantime.
Its worth the Community all being aware of the below from Sketch Up though
A Note for MacOS 15 (Sequoia) Users

At this time, MacOS 15 (Sequoia) is not supported for any version of SketchUp. We do not recommend updating to Sequoia. If you have already done so you may experience intermittent compatibility issues when running SketchUp after upgrading.

thanks Dan, i note this from Sketch Up, as you shared. Persistence of changing back and forth tot the Classic Graphics card as recommended by another user, has brought the functionality, for now…##### A Note for MacOS 15 (Sequoia) Users

When you make changes to the graphics settings in Preferences, SketchUp must be restarted for them to take effect.

Hi Anssi, well i quit each time, then relaunched App, i am seeing that as Restarting? Yes?

Small correction: on Mac you will see the new settings if you start a new document, or close and reopen the one you are working on. No need to quit SketchUp.
