Amazingly that was the problem! I found the solution here.

Guides disappearing when using tape measure!

Try this: Go to menu Window>>Preferences>>Graphics tab and select “Use classic graphic engine” Restart Sketchup [image]

Solution is:

SketchUp > Settings > Graphics > Use classic graphics engine
