guides are dissapearing instead of remaining on screen
Presumably you are using SketchUp 2024? If so, go into Settings in the SketchUp menu left of File. Go to Graphics and switch to the Classic graphics engine. Then quit and restart SketchUp.
This is a sign that your graphics card doesn’t support the new graphics engine.
Please complete and update your forum profile, too.
Do you have the AMD GPU selected or the Intel Iris Pro integrated graphics selected in: Preferences > Graphics > GPU Selection

The HW & SW Requirements page, SketchUp’s New Graphics Engine section:
- For MacOS, you must use version 12.3.1 or above. We recommend at least 13 and above for optimal performance.
- The following MacOS GPUs are unsupported:
- Intel HD Graphics 5000
- Intel HD Graphics 6000
- Intel Iris Graphics
- Intel Iris Graphics 6100
- Intel Iris Pro Graphics
- The following Windows GPUs are unsupported:
- Intel HD Graphics 4x00 series

@colin Do you have any idea why an M2 silicon machine would be dropping the guides?
I have seen issues where guides disappear, but I can’t make it happen. I don’t see the problem happening on my M4 MacBook Pro.
@jamiewollens You can enter “M2 integrated” for the profile Graphics Card field.
Also, the summary still has a description of your old machine as the 2nd sentence.
