Graphics card unsupported (Have Intel UHD and nVidia cards)

As I showed above mine is set to “Auto” on my home desktop.

Windows added an option to select GPUs in the case of multiple/hybrid GPUS (most laptops)
Microsoft Adds Graphics Settings for Power Users to Windows 10 (pcmag.com)

Also, if your power management software is set to a low energy or battery saver type mode, then usually they will default to the least powerful card.

Dell is saying that it is something to do with sketchup. Suggested a BIOS downgrade or try with an OEM image and see if it works. Then it would be a problem in the image itself. Problem is now production machines are starting to behave the same way. This has to be a windows issue. I did adjust my Graphic settings in windows to force it to the nVidia card. I will check my power settings and battery saver modes.

I wonder if the switchable graphics that is a bios switch now creates the problem. I have had to turn that off for Lumion to work because it does not like shared RAM. I will try that next.

I highly doubt that. As I said I have 2 Dell Precisions and SU works perfectly on them. One is an older 4th gen Intel based system and the other is a newer 8th gen Intel system. Are these laptops?

This ended up being a BIOS setting for Switchable Graphics on the Dell machines that had to be turned off. I have had to do this in the past for Lumion to work but never for Sketchup.

There is a new setting within windows under “graphics settings” that seems to behave differently to the nvidia control panel. It may even override it
