Once I accidentally stumbled upon the kbd shortcut to recover from being buried inside a model - but I forgot what it was. I’m thinking it was some combo with an N or F but I can’t figure it out.
Have at look in your Preference’s Shortcuts and see what you have set for 'Zoom Extents’
thx, I saw that and I guess I didn’t have my mind in gear. It was like “that may be it but I want to find something more difficult” – DUH!!!
Shift-Z is Zoom Extents, which, regardless of your previous view will reset the zoom factor to just fit all your modeled elements on screen.
You can also back out of a view, going through the stack of your previous views in reverse order, using Previous View.
