Flashing background when using dimension tool

Hey folks,
I’m recently updated to Sketchup v24.0.554 on my Macbook Pro with an Intel Iris Plus Graphic 650 1536 MB graphics card.

When I want to add dimensions with the dimension tool and the sketch is in Parallel Projection view the background flashes at me. It’s so distracting that I have to put the sketch into Perspective View. But when I do that the view will zoom away from my scene to someplace where I can’t find the scene again. It’s incredibly annoying and totally interrupts my workflow.

Is this a problem with my graphics card being unable to handle this version of Sketchup? Should I return to Sketchup 2023?

First try changing to the classic graphics engine in the Preferences/Settings>Performance panel.

That seems to have solved the problem. Thanks for the advice!

Good deal. That would imply your old graphics card isn’t quite up to running the new graphics engine but you should manage OK with the classic one.
