Evidently English is not your native language. How about answering my question about where you’ve been saving the file in your native language and I’ll use Google Translate to figure out what you are trying to say.
Again, where have you been saving the SketchUp file while you’ve been working on it?
It does look like maybe you have an older version of the model file so maybe you won’t have to start over completely.
I mean are you saving the file on an internal drive (inside your computer) or to an external (USB) drive or to a cloud location like Google Drive, OneDrive, or DropBox?
I told you. There’s nothing in the .skp but zeros and the.skb file is about half filled with zeros. You can’t make something out of nothing. You said you have a previous version of the model. Best thing is to open it and get to work redoing the modifications you made before.
The .skp file is corrupted. It won’t open in the current version of SketchUp either. What operating system are you working on? You put “SketchUp 2021” in your forum profile for that which is nonsense. What graphics card? “fsfs” is also nonsense. Where have you been saving the file while working on it? Are you using a cr acked version of SketchUp?
If you are working on Windows, share the .skb backup file. Maybe it is viable.
Sorry, my bad, I skipped over this info way too fast. Anyway, the only file I have is in the wetransfer link. I can’t find an autosave anywhere. So I don’t know if this can be saved?
So there’s no file saved on your computer directly? SketchUp on Mac normally creates a backup copy of the file in the same folder as the working file but with a ~ at the end of the filename.
At this point I expect it cannot be saved. If it’s a model you need, you should get started working on a new copy.
Normally he always makes an autosave. I think the problem has something to do with the external server. I usually work from this server but can sometimes cause problems with saving and overwriting documents. But I can’t find the autosave anywhere so I guess I better start over. And yes indeed, we work with mac.
You should not work on files saved directly to an external server. This has been shown to result in corrupted files.
You didn’t answer my question about the SketchUp version but I would suggest that you both upgrade to the current version of SketchUp and then use Trimble Connect to share files. You’ll save to the internal drive on the computer and also upload to Trimble Connect. Both of you can access the files and when you save the model to Trimble Connect an incremental save is created so you can go back to an earlier version if needed.
Both files are nearly half filled with zeroes and can’t be recovered. Where were you saving the SketchUp file while working on it? Did you have any events like the computer crashing or a power failure while you were working on the file? Are you using a cr acked version of SketchUp 2023?
