Hello, I am having a problem on opening my SKP school project. It’s weird because i was just resting and it closed it self because when I was about to start I notice that the sketchup app disappeared then when I was about to open the SKP file, the “Failed to Open document pop off”. I was rendering with D5 render but i was pretty sure that I closed the D5 before taking off
TY
These is the File:
The file is missing large chunks of data. Where have you been saving the file while working on it? To an external drive? Your profile shows you are using “Freen Plan” 2023. Does that mean you are using a cracked version?
I just created the account, sorry i filled the wrong plan and was actually using my friends sketchup becuase it is a group project he has the sketchup paid and i am using a free plan
also, we saved it internal HDD
Which one?
Is there also a .skb file? Maybe it can be opened.
Fix your profile with the correct information.
I tried opening it and encountered the same issue.
You could share the .skb file. Maybe we’ll have better luck.
If not, you’ll need to start over.
I will, sorry for that
Here is the link of the Skb file
It’s also missing big chunks of data. It doesn’t look promising. If this is for a school assignment I guess I wouldn’t waste any time. Start the project again. Make sure you are keeping it cleaned up as you go and save frequently. If your friend has a subscription for SketchUp Pro then also take advantage of their Trimble Connect storage and save a backup there in addition to saving to the internal drive.
Yeah… Sigh, An architecture project actually… Well, thank you for your time. I appreciate your reply and help
