“The save operation could not be completed. Please try again”
I had autosave on for every 5 minutes, but I can see that if I reopen the project in another tab/computer I’ve lost hours of work. If I try to save, I get the message above. If I try to download the .skp file, I get “An error occurred while downloading the model.”
I’ve tried deleting all 3d models in my mockup and seeing if it saves then on the theory of too big a save file, but no luck.
At this point I’m somewhat resigned to the idea that I’ll be needing to redo this (now that I have practice, this will be a lot faster at least), but how do I avoid this in the future? What even happened?
I still have the current (ephemeral) version open and can edit it (just no saving).
The model in question (you’ll see the early mockup of outdoor playground without some 3d logs): Outdoor school playground model
P.S. Sorry if I’ve repeated a topic somewhere else in the forum, I looked as best I knew, and while I saw things related to 1) file size and 2) autosave, I’m not seeing anything exactly like this.
It has an error when I try to download the file (at least in .skp format).
I just tried again deleting all the 3d components and recycling them, so now I only have drawn shapes with default materials. Still won’t save. (and thanks for your reply!)
Edit: to be clear, after I deleted/recycled the 3d objects, when I try to save it asks to purge. I say yes, then I still get the save error AFTER.
Edit2: I can still undo to the point where the 3d models reappear. Not sure how to purge to the degree that that isn’t possible.
