FAIL to login desktop app

I installed Sketchup Pro 2021 on my Win10 PC, using 30 days trial before signing for subscription.

  • Welcome screen says “Sign in to access your subscription or trial”.
  • I click the sign in button.
  • sketchup says “compete the sign in process in your browser.” and open a tab in chrome
  • I sign in, and that’s were it becomes weird :
Chrome is now pointing at 127.0.0.1:59905 and it says :
You’re signed in to all things SketchUp. You can close this tab, and continue using your SketchUp Pro apps
Whereas sketchup app says : “We were unable to sign in. We are having trouble communicating with the sign in server.

I suspecte the problem comes from the proxy authentication required by my company to access the internet. How can I diagnose the problem or inform Sketchup about my proxy credentials ?

127.0.0.0 can be seen as Intranet by some networks. A long time ago we wrote this article, see if the settings it talks about help at all:

Thanx for you reply Colin.
But I’m not concerned by your article. I’m using Chrome (not Edge or IE).
And mostly, the message I read in my browser is contradictory with the app.
Chrome says : “You’re signed in to all things SketchUp. You can close this tab, and continue using your SketchUp Pro apps
Sketchup says : “We were unable to sign in. We are having trouble communicating with the sign in server.
