"Enter value" not working

Hello there.
I recently started my free trial for sketchup and it seems like a great program, so i tried to do the tutorial where you build a playground. (https://learn.sketchup.com/course/quick-start/getting-started-1-quick-start)
In the video I was told to pick the template with feet and inches. When I try to draw a square that is 4x4 feet the program seems to just make it a random shape.
I type 4’,4’ in the box and when i press enter something messes up.

Is this a bug? How do I fix this? Is it maybe because i have a nordic keyboard and I’m using the wrong key on my keyboard?

It’s not a bug. It’s due to the localization of your installation.

Your video shows that the semi-colon is the correct separator between the dimensions. You are using a comma. Look at the way the dimension is displayed in the measurements box and use the same format.

You’re quite welcome. Also watch for the decimal separator. It’s probably a comma, not a period.
