Editing material color of "Brick Tumbled" is not working as expected

I’ve got a problem with “Brick Tumbled” material. When editing the color it provides unexpected results in viewport.

When modified color, looks not correct:

Other materials work as expected.

Could you share the file?

Here is the scene attached.

To me it looks like it reflects what you set in the Colors panel. What do you want it to look like?

Here’s how the color tint works for other materials. In screenshot attached I’m editing the “Brick Rough Tan”

The tumbled brick texture is behaving normally for the way its image was created but it’s not the same as the others. You could edit the color in an external editor if you want to change it. Editing materials in an external editor gives you a lot more control, too.

@bmaxim resetting the color isn’t the answer to the question here.

Thanks @DaveR , sure this way works.

A number of the shipped materials are strange this way. I don’t know how they were created in the first place. A lot of them go back 20 years or so. You can find much better images out there these days and make your own textures quite easily…

Possibly it has something to do with the Edit Dialog itself. See, when I set ‘Colorize’ all works like a charm. However this checkbox does not give any difference on other textures.
