Drawn Line disappears

I recently upgraded to SketchUp Pro 2018.

Issue 1:
When I draw adjoining boxes and when the boxes are auto filled with color, the line between the boxes disappears. It’s still there but it can’t be seen.

Issue 2:
Also when I drag the cursor to select a bunch of things, the selector indicator does not show. It’s difficult to know if I got the particular things I wanted.

Is there something I should activate for these features to be present? Thank you.

What Os are you on? SketchUp 2018 works best with High Sierra

I’m on OSX El Capitan 10.11.6

With the upgrade did you upgrade your computer too. I wonder if its a display resolution issue. Sometimes the high res display renders lines etc so tiny they may not appear to be there?

Not seeing the selection box is usually a graphic card issue.
