Does the function 'match colour of object' exist on Mac?

A small thing really bugs me since I switched from Windows to Mac: colour drop can match only screen colour, but not object colour. I use this a lot. I know I can select from ‘colours in model’, but in large drawings with many colour shades this is cumbersome.

Does the function Match colour of object exist on Mac?
And if yes, how?

Are you talking about picking up a material from a face in the model? Using the paint bucket with the command key does that.
