Display Sktchup drawing files

Greetings, I would need help, I filed in a folder some drawing files created with SkUp (.Skp), they all open normally from the nterno of SkUp, but I can’t see them as drawing icon from the folder of SW 7 professional…??
If I try to open the file from outside of SkUp, the file alert that is not associated with any program comes out…
Although I associate with the file .SkUp’s opening exe, it’s not working…
My interest is to be able to see what SkUp drawing pattern it is, depicted in the medium or large icon in its folder where it is located…some ideas…
Thank you

It’s hard to understand what your problem is or what the solution is you’re looking for. Maybe a language barrier.

You seem to say that you created some SU files that you can open from within the program, but you can’t open them when you try to do so directly from their folder. The file association seems to be the problem there.

The screenshot you show is odd because no file extensions are shown, though I imagine Modello di Sketchup indicates that they are indeed SU files. On the other hand, the blank page icons suggests that your system is not recognising the files as Sketchup (or they would have the logo).

More info needed.

Does this help?:

  • right click on a model file
  • select “Open With…”
  • search for SketchUp in the dialog that follows. Keep the “Always use this program…” box ticked
  • click OK

Unfortunately I don’t know English and I use a translator…
Yes, the problem is to associate the file with the SkUp program as an image…
I assure that the file works properly by opening it from within SketchUp…
If I use the Flextools ComponentFinder plugin, you see the same drawing with the correct icon…
It should also look like this in your windows folder with the right Association of executable files,
file. SktchUp exe, but it doesn’t work, I tried several times…
Thank you

I did, before I asked for help, I associate it with" open with " file .Sketchup exe, but nothing…
Thank you

I hope I don’t have to cancel the program (Sktchup Pro 2018) and install it again…
including all the plugins I’ve purchased over the years…

See this:

The cause of your thumbnails not showing mostly because of you recently just installed newer, older, or different version of sketchup into your PC.

You’ll choose “Repair”.

p.s. do I have to install all the plugins I bought in the past ???

Very good…I solved it…
Relaunched the setup installation of Sketchup, performed the repair…
Icons are returned to view correctly…
The added plugins have remained in place, you do not need to reload them…
Many thanks
