Some NVIDIA drivers wrongly identify SketchUp as ‘Google SketchUp’… So perhaps that’s the ‘weirdness’…
Ah… Could be. I’m not seeing that here but you are most likely correct.
What font are you trying to use for the dimensions ?
Are they set via Points or height (in model units) ?
Any dimension altering extensions / plugins in use ?
After all these years, the Nvidia control panel still calls it that.
Anssi
The model posted uses 12 pt Tahoma and displays OK here. Corrupt font? Perhaps trying another font might tell that.

In your screenshot, the Capabilities panel seems oddly sparse to me.
That is, there are only two settings.
Both offer only 0x Anti-Alias (the lowest) and one setting doesn’t even support shadows.
In >8 years of mid-range Quadro card use, I have never seen the SU Capabilities panel so underpopulated.
@Anssi, do those available Capability settings look correct to you?
@ukrpodigy4985 Confirm exactly which driver is installed.
Control Panel > Device Manager > Display Adapters > NVIDIA Quadro K1000M > Context click > Properties
No. I can check tomorrow what my almost similar work laptop offers.

For some reason, in manage 3D settings I can’t keep “Google Sketchup” defaulted to use the NVIDIA card. It changes itself to the “integrated graphics” card.
Ukrprodugy,
Check in the Nvidia control panel 3D settings also that Antialiasing and Anisotopic filtering are set to “Application controlled”. If they have some other setting, it might lead to the missing antialiasing options in SketchUp.
Anssi
Yes, both are set to application controlled.
In my computers, I have also changed the settings on the Global tab to point to Nvidia. I see no reason for any 3D application to use the Intel HD.
Anssi
I change to the NVIDIA for preferred graphics card and click apply. Exit out. When I open it back up, it has switched back to integrated graphics.
Do you have Use Hardware Acceleration turned on in SketchUp’s OpenGL Preferences?
I don’t know if this will matter but I chose the EXE file for SketchUp 2016.
Is your computer connected to a dock or an external monitor? If so, you could try disconnecting it and turning off all applications before trying to tackle the control panel again. Do you have administrative privileges to the computer?
Also, if Integrated is set in the Global tab, it might prevent the change for individual apps.
Just thinking aloud
Anssi
@DaveR Tried this, no luck.
Still another thing: Check that your monitors are set to True Colour. For some obscure reason, connecting an external display device switches my Lenovo to 16-bit colour that causes all sorts of anomalies in SketchUp display.
Anssi
Anssi,
That worked! Thank you so much. Would’ve never thought about that. Appreciate everyone’s input.
