How can you compare painting on canvas with working self-lit glowing displays? Those are totally different worlds.

Yes a complete false-equivalency

2025… well it appears the length of all those “dark mode” threads wasn’t long enough to convince the product managers :frowning:

Could give me some links about your sources for “Dark UI is healthier” ?
Because reading white letters on dark background is definitevely not better for the eyes.

SU is not for book reading, and besides, nobody talked about white letters (they have to be light gray or black).
Make an experiment - do a search on YT for any 2d/3d tutorial for virtually any program - they all grey/dark grey themed for many decades

Hum yes, and it’s not good for your eyes for many decades.

Not any longer, - the leading ophthalmologist Botosaur just opened the eyes to the whole computer graphics industry.

I’m Wainting for your sources about “dark ui is better for your eyes”

YoU aRe WaITiNg, seriously? are banned on Google?

Yes. I am waiting too. Without data, talk about the benefits of “dark mode” is nonsense. Its advocates spend too much time on computer games. I used “dark mode” for about 10 years as it was the only option before Windows versions of CAD applications became available, and find “light mode” better.

and find “light mode” better

How much better? Have you got exact data? Without data talk about light mode is subjective nonsense. I’m waiting

I mean you all can research it as much as I can. To me it feels better on my eyes. Like Annsi I learned CAD on Dos until it came out on WIndows. As soon as I could revert my Windows OS and color in CAD I went back to dark modes. Yes, each person has their own preferences. As I stated earlier, seeing that Apple, Adobe and other big name players offer it sort of reinforces my opinion that it is a wanted option.
