Cutout through several geometries

Good day,

I am trying to create a model for a BBQ table (for a Green Egg). The table top will be made up of several cedar deck boards running parallel to oneanother. In Sketchup I am trying to make a hole through the table top to fit the BBQ but I am not able to push a circle through the various deck boards. I think it is because I am trying to push though several planes at the same time.

So how can I get this done?

Many thanks.

You can draw a cylinder of the required diameter that passes through the boards and intersect its side with the boards. Put the cylinder inside the group before doing the intersection, run Intersect Faces and then erase the unneeded bits.

will give this a try. thanks for the prompt reply

Good luck.

There are several ways to achieve this., depending on what version you are using.
What version of SketchUp are you using?
Your profile says Free but the category is for Pro, maybe it needs changing.

Happy to know you got it taken care of.

Go cook something in your egg.
