Create group and remove original objects

I hope this is an easy one for you all… I thought that I used to be able to create a group, and then the original objects would be removed. Is there a toggle that I’m missing?

Hi Drew. Can you clarify? Is it possible you’re selecting stuff to make a component instead of a group and the stuff you’re selecting isn’t showing up in the component?

hey Dave… No, i’m very simply trying to create a group (Ctrl G) out of a few lines and I thought that there was a toggle that allowed you to either remove or retain the original lines after making said group. i don’t know if I’m explaining it correctly.

That’s an option when creating a component, but not for a group.

As Steve indicated, it’s an option when creating somponents. Down at the bottom of the window.
