I am having trouble exporting some layout files to PDF, I keep getting “not responding” then it crashes.
I have a file which will not export as DWG or DXF, sketch up crashes before the export is complete.
I get a bugsplat when I reopen the sketch up file to repeat.
Can you please help, please see a link to a document that I am having trouble with. have a large file of 87 mb, i dont know how to decrease the size of file.
i added the link for my file
Your file is large, so your model is probably bloated. Try switching all model viewports to use Raster rendering when exporting to PDF. Set Output Quality to High and don’t use JPEG compression.
i updated my profile please check what the issue with my file i moved the model close to origin and also used cleanup pluggin to clean yet my file is large
I found incorrect tag usage, overly large texture images and a lot of detail. It does work in LayOut 2024 although still slow even after cleaning up the model some. I would suggest you upgrade to SketchUp/LayOut 2024.
Not Responding doesn’t mean SketchUp or LayOut has crashed. It just means it’s busy doing what you asked it to do. This is a vector-rendered viewport in LayOut. It took some time to render due to the large number of edges but it did it.
