What do you mean? That doesn’t make much sense.
There is no DWG or DXF export in the online SketchUp for Schools. You need at least SketchUp Go (the paid online version).
Resurrecting this thread as I’m also in need for a one off conversion for my garage extension - structural engineer after a copy on dwg- anyone able to help please!? @dezmo perhaps… many thanks.

Hello, I’m developing an exporter DXF for SketchUp so I try to export your model with my tool and here is the result.
- Separate by Layers
- Layers in ACI color
- Preserve SketchUp origin
- All entities inside a block

What is the error? 2D or 3D export? Is a DWG created despite the error? Can you post your model? Are you using PC or MAC? 2021 is not an operating system. Is SketchUp correctly installed?
not responding Sir Anssi. I’m using laptop rtx 3050, its because of my model is very big I can’t post it here.
That’s not an error! That’s telling you SketchUp is busy doing the last thing you asked it to do.

If the model is large, the export may take a long time, even several hours. While SketchUp is working, it won’t respond.

can someone convert my sketchup to dwg in a site development plan / top view it’s taking so long its been 2 hours I’ve waited.
No one can help you if you don’t post the file, or a link to it on a file sharing site like Dropbox or WeTransfer.

Hi everyone! I am having a hard time converting my SKP file to a DWG. The file is saying that there are errors in it and it won’t actually work when I send it to my engineer. I am a pro member but am unclear on what is wrong. I don’t use CAD personally so I can’t seem to figure out what the problem is. Has this ever happened to any one else? I need to get the engineer my drawing but am unsure on what to do
