Converting dwg files to skp files

Hi,
Is it common for designers to work between the two formats (dwg and skp)?
I am a landscape designer using SketchUp Pro. I enjoy using SU and Layout for landscape planning.
Is it possible to share projects with designers who use AutoCad, with just my SketchUp skills?

Some of that is outdated (for instance, the Autodesk Architectural Desktop was transformed into AutoCad Architecture something like 10 years ago). Supported elements should include 3D Solids. Unsupported elements should include Surfaces and Meshes.
