after several months using the app.sketchup.com it perfectly solved my problem. everything works well and I can share my models to my customers.
however I still suggest that at 3d warehouse I can public show my models without let the viewers download my models. because if so, I can adverse my 3d warehouse page to public and no worry they download the models. I am not a selfish person. because I do business not just for showing. I don’t want my models details are easily gotten by my business competitors. at the same time I can share the models to pulic.
maybe sketchup admins not understand this. they think sketchup mostly use for construction, for art or just for fun. but it is different if you are in my situation. I must draw all mechanic parts precisely. even no any 0.1mm tolerance. that is why I don’t want strangers down load my mechanical part 3d drawing.

Just don’t upload your models to the 3D warehouse, use another cloud storage platform to keep your models safe from other companies that want to steal your models.
yes, but no people will saw my 3d models. I hope 3d warehouse can be same as youtube: you can create your channel and at same time no one download your videos.
by the way I will not feel shame and guilty to prevent others download my models. I normally spend several days to finish one model. most important some parts dimensions are for several years update.
You know you can export images and videos from sketchup. A lot of people have been using, including myself, this kind of old tech internet tools called social networks to share and sell our work, I bet more people will be able to see your work if you post it on Instagram, TikTok or even Facebook than on the 3D warehouse.
hello again my friend. because 3d model is unlike a photo or video. you download the photo for a mechnical part, but you cannot make same one accordingly. however 3d model including every sizes. if I not make precise sizes, it is meaningless to make and record all parts in the 3d models.
So if you want people to be able to look at pictures of your models but not able to download them, make image exports and upload those to an image sharing service.

How does making precise models have anything to do with whether others can download your models or not?
I export videos by animator plug in. it is for my customers. not to show in public. because I have youtube to show these videos, youtube have 3 types video privacy terms.
to show my 3d models, I can mark some important sizes in my drawing. but some sizes I keep for secrete. that is the reason some people can see my models with few sizes but they cannot see all detailed sizes.
download the 3d models means everyone can make same part as my part. some of my parts is updated for many years experience already. I need to make every size precise not just make it good looking. I have no time to make parts beautiful, but I need keep every details in my drawing. that mean even after long times, if I have the part model, I can machine it. it is function as autoCAD or solidworks.
I don’t think your post can be taken seriously by any sketchup team member or any forum member. You are using a crcked software, you don’t have the right to complain about it

None of this makes any sense. You can make your models as precise as you need. That has nothing to do with the 3D Warehouse. You keep referring to making your models precise and that you don’t want other people to download them. Those are totally separate things. If you don’t want other people to download your models don’t put them in the Warehouse. Or make them private.
You want people at Trimble to “pay attention” to your request but so far you haven’t made a convincing argument for what you are asking.
sketchup is not just for construction, for fun and for showing. the most useful thing is that it can store information: one object’s sizes cannot be stored by a photo or a video. by storing in sketchup model, you can store all detailed sizes of one objest, and best thing is that it only occupy few kb for an uncomplicated object. And skecthup software is the best 3d software in this world now. simple easy use and little storage.
The .skp file can become “comunicate” file same as photo and videos. It will be very cool and popular. all objects can be replicated if you have this object’s .skp file. this is the trend. hope admin understand this situation: show 3d model file in public on the 3d warehouse person page but not let others download it if the owner don’t like. I write this above just this one time and I never suggest again.
