I am fairly new to SketchUp and need to try to draw this chandelier for a project https://pinchdesign.com/products/anders-light-large
I’m not sure where to start, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

For a first project I think you may have chosen unwisely. In my opinion this will be challenging for the best of the modellers who are members here, but I may stand corrected.
I wish you luck with this, but suggest you start with the basics here https://learn.sketchup.com
yep challenging, but the simplest approach would be to create a “Face Me” 2d component.. isolate the shade from the background as a png with transparency and take that Sketchup.. there are many YouTube videos explaining that workflow..
Start by learning the basics of SketchUp at Campus - learn.sketchup.com, as already indicated, and then move on to more advanced ones. By modeling this lamp now, you’ll skip a lot of steps in the learning process.
Just as an idea
I am a hobby modeller and consider myself intermediate after 4 years using SU using the native tools with a few (5) extensions and using shortcut keys. But…, having just watched @mihai.s demo I was totally out of my comfort zone and basically hadn’t a clue about using the extension he did but impressed with how he accomplished the result. I therefore reiterate my statement that this is probably too difficult for a novice SU user.
And, almost as if it was planned this way, watch this, released today - it will explain my thoughts.
