I have SketchUp Pro 2018 classic licence. After reinstalling a new operating system on my computer, I can not authorize the software anymore. I emailed the problem to Sketchup team but no answer. Any idea?
Did you release the license from your machine before refreshing the OS?
2018 won’t license, because you are already using 2019, and you have a 2020 license available. But, if you have a backup of this file somewhere (in Time Machine for example):
~/Library/Application Support/SketchUp 2018/SketchUp.lic
it should work if you place into into the same location in the reinstalled system. 2019 won’t activate because you have activated it on three computers. You could remove the license from one of those three computers, and then be able to activate it ok. Or, if you have a backup of this file:
~/Library/Application Support/SketchUp 2019/SketchUp.lic
it should work on the new system.
You do have a 2020 license, and so could simply install SketchUp 2020, and not worry about getting 2018 or 2019 working. Here is the Mac SketchUp 2020 DMG:
I have had the license system send your 2020 license to you.
Fortunately I had a backup of previous OS X.
Now it is working:)
Thanks Colin,

@colin Right now I have the license.
You have 2019 activated on three computers. Can you find either of the other two computers, to see if you can remove the license from one of them?
If you can’t, you should contact support, and see if they can help. Use this form:
