Carrying extensions from 2018 to 2019

Hello, It seems extensions don’t carry over automatically when upgrading from 2018 to 2019. Is there a way to swiftly reload them? Thanks. GS

Each major version of SketchUp installs as a separate program so extensions and other things you’ve added (styles, templates, materials) won’t automatically transfer.

For extensions the best thing to do is to install your extensions through the Extension Warehouse–sign in and hover over your name in the upper right corner. You’ll see an option to install your extensions.

If you used the Sketchucation Extension Store tool to install extensions from Sketchucation, install the tool in SU2019 and use it to install your “bundle” from there.

It’s best to install fresh copies of your extensions due to changes in the Ruby scripting that sometimes require extensions to be updated.

Hi,

Thanks so much. That’s a great help.
