Can't toggle SHOW TERRAIN... Geo Terrain data not imported?

Pretty new to SU 2017, but learning fast. I’ve followed all tutorials I could find, but no matter what geo location I grab, I can never get any terrain topography to function.
Nor is there a Terrain Layer some tutorials mention.
Any ideas??

which version of Sketchup are you using precisely ? There are a few different versions for instance SketchUp pro you pay for and has different functionality to the free versions
