Hi there,
I installed Sketchup Make 2017 this March (2020) and was able to add geolocation to my drawing including satellite image and terrain information.
Yesterday I tried the same, however, only a map was imported, without terrain data.
What changed between March and October 2020?

You started out with a 30-day trial of SketchUp 2017 Pro which included imagery and terrain data. That’s not available in SketchUp Make which is now what you are using.
Your 30-day trial of Pro expired.
