I’ve recently switched to a Windows machine after getting comfy with Sketchup for Mac for the last few years. Still getting used to the way that trays and other UI elements work in the Windows version. One thing I can’t figure out is why I can’t see the default material in the palette, even when I have it set to show materials “in Model.” I can select the default material by sampling another object with it, but is there a way to see it in the palette so I can select it without having to find another entity first? Here’s how it looks when I’ve got the material selected via sampling:
also, in sketchup 2025, on PC, it’s at the same place as on mac. at least until the next update.
