I can’t export a DWG file from Layout no matter what I do, Help

in LO2015: “File > Export > DWG/DXF… > File Type: DWG > Options Dialog > ….”

You should tell us more exactly what is happening. Do you get a file at all? If you get DWG file but it seems empty, the reason might be that you are exporting to Paper space (it is the default setting), and the contents of a paper space tab can be viewed and edited almost exclusively with Autodesk’s AutoCad and other applications don’t understand them. Usually you would want an export to Model space.

Deselect the Export Invisible Layers checkbox in the options dialog. Worked for me with out upgrading to 2016.
