I’ve been using Sketchup and layout to create garden design plans, all without problems.
A couple of days ago I created a super simple Sketchup drawing of a garden. I’ve created some tags but don’t think I’ve changed anything else.
When I send to Layout, it picks up the Sketchup view but won’t let me change the scale.

If I try to do anything to the viewport or the scale, the yellow warning triangle pops up.
I don’t think I’ve changed any of the default settings. I’ve searched through this forum but can’t for the life of me see what is happening!
Very grateful for any advice, thanks

Changing the scale works for me.
Tick the Auto Render box to the left of the render type dropdown where it saus Raster.
Edit to add: Make sure you keep edges and faces untagged. Only give tags to groups and components.
Also when setting up your scenes, use Zoom Extents to make the model fill the model window as much as possible. This will make setting up the viewports in LayOut easier. Here I’ve updated your Top view scene.
Here’s the LO file including the update .skp and the viewport set to 1:50. I don’t know what scale you actually want, though.

that’s great, thank you
I’d just worked out that my Auto box was unchecked, so I needed to keep pressing Render … doh.
thanks for the tip re Zoom Extents!
There can be cases where it is advantageous to turn off Auto Render as when you have very heavy SketchUp models and need to go back and forth between SketchUp and LayOut. With it unticked you can render only the viewport you’re working on. Once you are ready you can tick the box again and let LO update the rest of the viewports. Or you can leave rendering to occur as part of the export process although that can make it appear that LayOut has quit working when you get start the export.
