Bug splat - Sketchup crashes not allowing to render

Hello all,
I’m new here and not really sure am I doing it right
but I’d like to ask for your help with t-shooting my bug splat.

I’ve got a qutie heavy file (a lot of geometries) and sketchup crashes even when I want to activate all the tags (make it visible).
I attach screenshot about files mentioned in bug splat details.

Could you please tell me where should I look for a root cause and how to do it?

Thank you in advance for all your help!

Upload the file to DropBox or We Transfer and share the link so we can see what you’ve got.

What is the graphics card? “12 GB” is not an answer to that question in your profile.

Have you been sending in the Bug Splat reports with your name and email address included?

Here are files from bug splat.

My graphic card is: NVIDIA RTX A2000 12 GB

I sent the reports a few times but without my name and email

None of those are what I asked for. Share the SketchUp model file.

Put that in your forum profile.

Sorry about that. Here is the sketchup file.

I’ve just updated graphic card info in my profile.

A web page should have opened given the crash number.
Did you write them down so they can be looked up?

If not, cause a crash again and this time post the crash numbers here.

I’ve done it as you said. It’s:

Crash #172383

When is the last time you went to the nVidia site to get the latest graphics drivers?

There are some excessively large texture materials in your model. They can be reduced and in some cases they could surely be replaced with simple colors.

See if this version behaves better.

Thank you for the update of the file. I can really feel the difference when I’m moving the camera. I can start even the render.

However I can see that some details are missing - like quality of leaves. Which should be obvious because you reduced the file. Is there any way to keep previous texture materials?

Does it mean that my graphic card can’t handle such heavy file (too many complex geometries) and it’s a root cause? I always render files using my CPU instead GPU - does it mean anything for my issue?

I can open your original model ok. The crash report suggested there was problems reading one of the images, I can’t tell which one. There have been three updates to SketchUp since the one you are using, and at least one serious image issue was fixed during that time.

It would be worth updating SketchUp.

Thank you Colin for that hint. Right now I’m updating Graphic Card driver but for sure will check that option as well.

By images you mean files (.jpg .png etc) that I’m using in textures? Can I locate somehow which image caused the issue - i.e. by checking some logs?

I updated graphic card - no luck.
I’ve also updated Sketchup to 25.0.660 - I can run Vray and in the middle of render it’s crashed again. I’ve sent another report:

Crash #172430

and wondering is there any chance to locate which image cause the issue - then it would be easy to eliminate it. If I had to check all images then it will be a nightmare

How much ram does your pc have?

It’s 128 GB

I finally managed it by editing all materials in V-Ray (not Sketchup) and splitting the file into 2 - front and back part of the landscape. I got some imported objects which had reference to not existing filepath locations and some not english letters in materials names. Maybe all of it caused my issue - not sure, but that workaround worked.

Thank you all for your suggestions and help ! It really helped me to find a solution.
