Hard to believe I haven’t made an actual battlemech until now

Some cyber structures

Continuing on the Tron RTS- here’s the headquarters, it’s a vehicle that transforms into a base ‘Command & Conquer’ style. It was a new experience to get it to work but it was a lot of fun.

Made a couple of smaller things-

A fast moving light cybertank that shoots lasers

And a 1 hour speed model of a (very) rough sketch for a stream

Nice work, I like the base building

Belated thanks :+1:

Made a few more small things, I’ll probably focus more on the gamedev side of things before getting back into the huge models

Big ol’ belated thanks again

Have been trying to get serious with gamedev so no time for fancy renders, did make this though

Trying to make a base building system, deciding what to do is almost more difficult than doing it

I’ve also been going back and making some new renders of old models to keep the instagram alive in the mean time

It’s tough but have to keep moving

Thanks again x)
Have some time to make fancy renders, nothing huge/new yet (but more on that later)

Have also been messing around with taking detail shots out of context, helps get the creativity going

Mindblowing stuff.

Back to making the big stuff- spent some effort make a mecha spinosaurus and used animator to test joint limits and give it some life.

It’s kind of a test with how many polys I can actually get away with at realtime with medium scale models, so it’s cleaned up and ready for UV and rigging (might be too poly heavy for core mechanics but it’ll be fun to run some experimental dynamisms)

Got the UVs done but no real material yet- also I wouldn’t want one of these sneaking inside the house :grimacing:

How did you manage to escape after taking that picture?

He rendered it useless.

It’s only interested in machines so I just stayed out of the way, I hope the neighbors locked their garage though

This is jaw dropping work!! I thought I was quite handy at Sketchup but now I’m not so sure!! That moving one above - is that done using dynamic components animation functions?
