Hello! I am Diana from Colombia, I already installed and uninstalled the sketchup pro 2020 program 3 times and they load the tools, the icons and the toolbar appear but the black screen appears in the work interface, you cannot see the model, they do not load the tools models, nothing is visible, only the buttons. Please I need urgent help to solve this problem, I must do my architecture deliveries.
Commonly this sort of thing is due to inadequate graphics card or broken graphics drivers. You might try going to the graphics card manufacturer’s site to get and install their latest drivers for the card you have. You could try opening SketchUp and going to Window>Preferences>OpenGL and changing the state of the tick box for Use Fast Feedback.
Also make sure you installed SketchUp correctly. That requires right clicking on the downloaded installer and choosing Run as administrator.
In the properties of the equipment an AMD A10-8700P Radeon R6 appears but in the device management there appear 2: AMD Radeon ™ R6 M340DX and the other is the AMD Raedon R6 Graphics, when opening skecthup and looking in preferences to be able to select one of the two, neither appears to me.
I’m not sure how Windows identifies the card but what you indicate you have is a fairly low-performing GPU according to the various benchmark sites out there. You might try going to the AMD site to look for drivers and see if the utility for automatically identifying your GPU will get you the right drivers.
Did you try disabling Fast Feedback in SketchUp’s Preferences>OpenGL?
I already searched for and downloaded the graphics card drivers but the problem is still there, the program was opening fine for me a week ago and now it has this black screen problem, I already tried to disable the fast feedback in the SketchUp preferences> OpenGL and is where he just shows me a card and continues with the problem
So you downloaded the drivers. Did you install them after they were downloaded? Did you restart the computer after installing the drivers?
So this would indicate a change in your computer. That’s not unusual with Windows updates which are notorious for for including broken video drivers.
If the new drivers didn’t fix it, maybe you can roll back the drivers to when it worked.
